An opportunity for students aged 9 to 19 to work together in teams and create websites for this renowned international competition … then to have them published for the world to see in the stunning ThinkQuest Library ... and for some teams to win some rather attractive hi-tech prizes along the way!

Success in the international competition in 2007 [3rd prize in the 12 and under age division] brought the Barrow Hill Junior School team from London [pictured above] the opportunity of spending a week in San Francisco with other international winners, and some wonderful prizes for team members!

Winners of the new Thinkquest Narrative competition will be announced shortly. Be prepared to be equally amazed!

But actually, everyone's a winner!  Do visit the ThinkQuest Library to view all UK and international websites which are now contributing to this amazing learning and teaching resource for students and their teachers!

Details for the website and narrative competitions will be published on the international website from August 2009 onwards.

Both competitions provide an excellent route to collaborative learning and in many cases, successful international partnerships. Do take a look at this year's winning websites and narratives for some ideas ... topics can range from studies into chocolate [!] to the more serious issues of environmental pollution ... child labour ... the plight of various animals facing extinction ... with ideas and activities which call fellow students to also take action!
